Singer and president of artistes under the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) Eddy Kenzo has said that he is not responsible for making Bobi Wine the president of Uganda.
Kenzo said that as President of UNMF, his responsibility is to fight for musicians to get what they want not politicians.
Eddy Kenzo and Bobi Wine used to be close friends but their political differences tore them apart. He supported the ruling party while Bobi Wine is for the opposition. Since then, they have not been talking eye to eye.
Their opinions are very much different and Eddy Kenzo at the moment also refers to himself as the president as well as Bobi Wine.
“Bobi Wine wants to become the president of this country, and his ban on performing in Uganda as a musician is beyond my control. I’m simply here to fight for musicians, and I’m not a politician,”- Eddy Kenzo.
It should be noted that Eddy Kenzo is now married to Minister Hon Phionah Nyamutooro which makes him more close to the ruling government.
